I grew up in Pasadena and everyone I know goes to Goldstein's. The bagels are really good. That being said, they are not the quintessential New York style bagels -- They are bigger and softer. If you like bagels really chewy, Goldstein's probably isn't the place. If you're not looking for some ur-bagel, but just a good place to go, Goldstein's is a good bet.
