Message: | Obviously we didn't go to the same place. To you it's Fusion, to me it's Nuevo Latino. Actually Xiomara Ardolino, the owner who is Cuban, describes it as Nuevo Latino now too. Used to be Fusion in the front room with Cuban specialties being served in the back room. The back room became more popular and became the whole deal. Much better for us mojito lovers. She's opening another restaurant in Hollywood soon to be called Cienfuegos. (Didn't one of Castro's revolutionary buddies have that name--the same guy who got blow out of the sky the year after the Revolution by the lider maximo himself? No matter.) And that one will be traditional Cuban... I say tomato and you say potahto, etc., etc. But I agree with you, Fusion ain't much good... except at Jozu. And even then I'll take a good mojito any time. Just ask Papa. |
