I remember the one downtown/East LA used to be cheaper. In any case, the ohters don't ever carry the quince paste dessert and I hated the one in Santa Monica - it's was a huge scene, it was very crowded and the food didn't taste as good. The fish at the downtown branch was exquisitely fresh and the seafood cocktail selection I believe was more extensive.
Also, if you like the mexican horchata (rice, not 'chufa's like the Spanish horchata) and the tamarindo drink, the folks at the downtown branch make their own.
