I would generally agree with the comments that there are no finds in the Village. Even the In N Out Burger is hard to get in n out of. I would second the nomination for Delphi, but Greek does not appeal to some. Hamlet Gardens does seem overpriced for what you get. Palomino is a little noisy, flashy and uneven for my tast altho it does have good desserts as I recall. If you want to get a little out of the Village on Westwood Blvd, you might try Le Pomme, a calm, somewhat traditional French eatery that has reasonable prices and cordial waitstaff. Now that I think of it, if you like Italian, I'd go for Tanino on Westwood in the Village in the old Alice's space, but be sure you've got it all nailed down in terms of what space you'll be in, staff dedicated to your party, etc.
