JG's review got me interested, so one afternoon I went down.
 
It's a seedy bar - like an irish bar in NYC with a steam buffet.
 
The french dip is huge- at least twice the size of Phillipes. However, I love the Phillipes mustard, slaw and wine plus the ambiance. Cole's is depressing - full of alcoholics.
 
The sandwich was OK, but I wouldn't return.
