The little strip mall fronting this same mall that people are talking about has a location of Kee Wah Bakery, one of the best bakeries out of Hong Kong. Excellent place. Tea Station, a chain of overrated but peppy bo ba places, is just a couple doors down in the same front mall thingy. The big mall also includes an excellent Chinese vegetarian restaurant.

For a more urban feeling, you should be able to find all of these things in the recently refurbished Main Street District of Alhambra. Golden Lion, at Main and Garfield (1 West Main St), has top notch cantonese bbq and seafood. Bakeries abound on Main and further down on Valley. Tapioca Express has a location at 3rd or 4th and Main, and a number of other options are nearby.

From either location, the path to the best bo ba leads to the Old Country Cafe, just south of the southeast corner of Valley and Garfield.
