Message: | Gee, I'm truly amazed at the ideas presented in response to your proposition. I had no idea that BBQ would be so popular. I'm a little older than most here, but still enjoy good food. (not necessarily from an upscale joint) BBQ is one of my favorites, and in my opinion, there's none better than "Pecos Bills", a small take out stand on Victory Blved., in Glendale, just south of Western Ave. I've been getting ribs there for fourty years, and their Okie beef sandwich with hot sauce is to die for. (served on a hamburger bun) The place reminds me of the origonal "Tommy's" on the corner of Beverly and Rampart in LA, but they only have the one location. They open around 11 AM every day I think, but they generally take 2-3 weeks off and shutdown in the Summer. They are close to Griffith park and my wife and I usually get a sandwich and go to the park and eat amongst the trees and small animals running around.
