The best rum drink in existence, without question, is the mojito, which I had the joy of experiencing last spring in Havana. It's a Cuban cocktail, made from rum, sugar, lime juice, mint, ice and water as a filler, and is absolutely divine. The Cubans use Havana Club "Silver Dry" label for their mojitos. Due to our lovely policy towards Cuba, it's a bit tough to find, although I'm told that you can get it in Canada. For us US-bound folks, however, Bacardi is quite good. You can also do a "Cuba Libre", known in the US as a Rum N' Coke, but if you're going to get the rum...go for the mojito. I can give you more details on proportions if interested.
