The knife cut noodles at Tung Lai Shun (the Islamic restaurant in San Gabriel square, 140 W. Valley Bl.) are very good. The best beef noodle seems to be Yung Ho, Valley @ New Ave. (Don't go to their branch a mile and a half to the east on Valley.) We almost never go to the 99 Ranch Mkt.--prices there are a little higher except on their private label goods. We prefer Hawaii (Valley @ Del Mar), Del Mar Market (Del Mar @ Garvey) and the San Gabriel Superstore (Valley @ San Gabriel).
