My wife and I went to visit one of her friends who was staying in Fullerton. I suggested we should go to Sturbiks for steaks. But her friends whated to try a place near their hotel. Texas BBQ on Harbor just south of Orangethrope is a very interesting place.

The food is served cafteria style. For $12 they have a two meat combo. I got baby backs and turkey breast. They also have beef ribs, chicken, and beef brisket.

They have four choices of sides which is all you can eat. Corn on the Cob, baked beans, potato salad and cole slaw. I tried all four and everything but the corn is very tasty. I could have easily filled up eating the cole slaw which was very creamy and the potato salad which was pleasantly more spicy than most potato salads I've had.

The bbq sauce is just wonderful. They serve it warm not in a damn bottle. The sauce masked the terrible flavor of the babybacks. Very dry and not very tasty. The turkey was great. Very juicy and tender.

The service was great. From the kid who carved the turkey and babybacks, he gave me a little extra turkey and one extra rib. To the cashier who was very nice and friendly. To the kid behind the counter who was very nice when I asked if the two bbq sauces they had were different. Yes they are. One is a little more sweeter than the other but both are great.

The place was empty at 6pm. When the four of us came in there were exactly six people in whole place. They are only opened Wed-Sun. I guess business isn't that good. But friendly service and if you stay away from the babyback ribs I think you'll enjoy the place.
