What you had were Chao Tom (tom=shrimp, and I don't know how to translate chao). In the San Fernando Valley, the best place for this, and it's really good, would be Song Phat on the south side of Sherman Way just west of Mason. I don't know of any restaurants on the westside that serves chao tom. The best ones would come from Little Saigon, undoubtedly, but I don't know which restaurants in particular. Sorry. When I can find out, I'll try another post.
