I have never understood the chicken feet thing either. Maybe they should be serving them along with their deep fried lips?
 
My business partner and her husband went for one of their anniversary dinners to the Bel Air Hotel. My partner eats one of two things for dinner, chicken or incinerated salmon. So she ordered the chicken and when the waiter took off the silver cover, there was the chicken with her feet still on. My partner had them take it back and remove the feet, but she said her appetite was pretty well gone by that time.
