Many, many years ago, I ate dinner at Charlie Trotter's in Chicago. The butter served with the bread was wonderful, and I asked the waiter what kind of butter it was. He informed me that it was Plugra. It's been my butter of choice since then. I, too, buy it at Trader Joe's. But I also agree about the Normandy butter. It's not easy to find, but in addition to Beverly Hills Cheese, they carry some at La Brea Bakery.
