i'm sure all of these places are great -- only ever been to philips and woody's -- but for my money, the best i've had in a long time wasn't even on the list. JR's BBQ on la cienega south of washington blvd. is really terrific -- great pork ribs, rib tips, chopped pork, and sliced brisket, nice spicy sauce, baked beans with chunks of 'cue in 'em. really worth a visit -- please consider revising your results after a new blind taste test with JR's in the running -- you won't be sorry.
