The original is on East 1st St. They reopened and are lovely . There is secure guarded parking in the back, entrance on alleyway. They are down the street from the Mariachi Plaza and on occasion, pickup mariachi bands come in and play for tips.
They have a wonderful dessert at the original, ate de membrillo, quince paste, on a strong Mexican cheese served with cream. It's not always in but it is delicious (similar to a Spanish tapa of dulce de membrillo with Manchego cheese, and Colombian dulce de guayaba con queso).
