i assume you mean $18...however, i went about a year ago with two friends...we ordered about $250 worth of wine, full appetizers and entrees plus bottled water (expense account). the deserts at campinile never have really interested me - always to heavy-too much crust and dough. so we ordered a cheese plate for 3 (i think it was $22). it had 6 measly slices of cheese, a couple of grapes...oh, and about five minutes after being served the toast/bread arrived.

we asked for a little more cheese and were promptly denied. its amazing that restaurants do this when you are spending that kind of money (the bill was over $500 for 3). restaurants charging that kind of money (esp. in LA, where it is one of the 5 most expensive restaurants in town) should treat the customer like guests in their home - not like they being fleeced.

i still eat there, but only because of the lack of decent high-end restaurants in LA. and of course, someone else must be paying.
