A weblog is a time-ordered series of entries, (diary reports, news summaries, random thoughts, interesting songs, sites etc.) typically with weblinks. If there are no or very few links, some would call it a WebJournal.

Many offer one or more of these features:

  • discussion
  • notification and/or subscription (by RSS or e-mail)
  • group rating of entries / discussions
  • easily-modified appearance
  • free hosting elsewhere, or on your own server
  • statistics and easier linking with other webloggers in the same 'cloud'

Some weblogs, like ScriptingNews are from an individual. Others, like KuroShin are group affairs. Add more examples if you like.

Two weblogs in this WikiWiki: AbbeNormal and GettingOsxGoing.

This WikiWiki (that you're reading in write now), is driven by PikiePikie, which can put a weblog on any page (see Pikie:WebLogUsage ). The main weblog here (and current default FrontPage) is AbbeNormal. Since this is a wiki, anyone can edit any page (click on the "Edit Text" link at the bottom of any page) and discussions or corrections are possible anywhere.

PikiePikie has no membership or rating capabilities (and i have no interest).

    Pikie:EmailSubmissionOfWebLogEntries are planned.

You can subscribe to AbbeNormal by e-mail with BlogLet (it can do that with any RSS feed!). See AbbeNormal#Subscribe, or AbbeNormalSyndication.
