There used to be a Japanese market (yaohan?) on Centinella and Venice and several good, and inexpensive Persian markets also on Venice on that same strip. Great Korean market on 2740 W Olympic called Han Nam - it's huge, has great produce like fresh (and inexpensive) Mizuna and other exotic greens I've never seen in other markets.
