Le Petit Bistro is my favorite place in the Valley. I totally agree with these two previous posts. A couple of other sugggestions regarding the dining experience:
 
1. Go early. . this eliminates the problem of the tables being too close together.
2. Try the merguez--unusual to find this North African sausage on LA menus. They do it very well and serve em with a pile of frites.
3. My mother in law says that the pastas are terrific--she is vegetarian.
