There's not a whole lot, but Berto's (Channel Islands Bl at Whaler's [Seafarers?] Village) is among the most pleasant and reliable Italian places - a big cut above usual red sauce Southern Italian. The restaurant at the Mandalay Beach Resort (Capistrano's?) is an imaginative "Californian" and less expensive than it used to be. I would avoid the formulaic seafood (e.g. Whale's Tail, etc) and Mexican (unless you're really into Tex-Mex)places.
