I finally broke down and got two burgers to go yesterday- one for me and one for my girlfriend. Got home (after a 2 minute trip, too quickly to ruin a time-sensitive burger experience), opened the styrofoam and took a bite.
It was the best burger I've had in L.A. Absolutely delicious. They even ask you how you want it done, which is somewhat of a rarity these days.
They're a 1/2 pound, perfect for almost any gourmand. They make their fries fresh, so they taste like In and Out's. Not very good, in other words. But the burger was totally killer.
The place is kinda divey with what looks like a spate of 'regulars' manning the bar. But I will nonetheless return.
