Haven't thought about Martoni's in a long time. One of the guy's I knew had a printing shop across the street for a few years. We started going here around 1970, mostly to drink at the bar, but had dinner a few times. Solid Italian, good pasta. A real old fashioned NY Italian kind of feel to it. I remember it made us feel pretty sophisticated to hang out, drink martini's and chat up young women here. Another Hollywood fixture gone for good. Doesn't one of the owners or former managers have a another Italian restaurant someplace in Hollywood or Mid Wilshire area?
