I don't think there is a restaurant in LA that would crack the top 20 in NYC (well, maybe Ginza Sushi-Ko and a couple other sushi bars). I go to these restaurants (Valentino, Spago etc.) at least twice a year and am usually underwhelmed. They aren't consistent enough to merit the high prices they charge. BTW, many ex-angelenos share my view. The first place they hit after LAX is In-n-Out, not a salmon pizza at Spago :^) |
