Regarding anything with white truffles... always beware the price no matter where you are. They are now in season and last weekend I priced some at Surfa's, my favorite gourmet store, who had them flown in from Alba, Italy, the world's capital of white truffles. They were in the vicinity of $150 an ounce and they said you had to eat them within three days. Ouch! I passed.
