Great Western has been a westside fixture on Superba and Lincoln since the 70's, long before other Philly Steak places sprang up (with the exception of the now-defunct Topps).
 
Many a cold winter's night (after working on boats in the marina) I'd stop there for a gut-warming steamy cheese steak. It still remains my personal favorite hoagie / PhillySteak joint (yes, I've tried Papa Jakes, Markie D's and others), and I am sure many here will argue that it's not the most "authentic." If you're a purist, better stick to the others. Personally, I won't stray from this one.
