Message: | From my current vantage point in New Orleans, (in some respects similar to a desert island) I would be incredibly thrilled if someone could arrange a wormhole to the following restaurants: 1. Empress Pavillion, for dim sum 2. El Rancho, for the green chile burrito smothered in gravy and the cheese enchiladas 3. Noodle World, for everything (and especially the sticky rice with mango) 4. Zankou Chicken, of course 5. Mandarin Deli, for the pot stickers and the pancake noodle soup that was my sickroom cure-all 6. Samanluang, for the tom kah kai (however you spell it) soup and lots of noodles 7. Campanile/La Brea Bakery, for practically everything 8. The Pasqua coffee chain, which doesn't exist any more (sadly bought out by Starbucks), which had the best and most consistent chicken caesar salad I've ever found 9. M&M; Soul Food, for smothered things 10. El Tepeyac, for menudo at breakfast with a complimentary shot of tequila |
