If your looking for more of a neighborhood Irish Bar, and the Valley isn't out of the way, try Irelands 32 in Van Nuys/Sherman Oaks area. Very friendly people, mixed crowd (young and old), and pretty good live music. Bartenders usually recongnize newcommers to the bar and will ask your name and shake your hand.
