Message: | At the risk of incurring the wrath of the Big Dog, the Grub Guy is moved to second the rec of Taylors (8th St, Koreatown). No fat-free, prime steaks here. Just well-marbled (prob choice grade) flavorful beef. Not quite as tender as the pricey steakhouses' fare, but way better tasting. "Tex" Grub prefers the big top sirloin, while Annie-get-yer-Grub likes the house special culotte steak. Always fresh crisp, if uninspired, lettuce salad, huge bakers -- and righteous martinis. Place is a quintessential LA throwback -- you might get the Jake Gittes or Raymond Chandler booth. |
