Message: | Way back in 1969 I had lunch at a fine restaurant called The Adriatic, located in the LaBrea area. I ordered a dish which had a generous amount of spinach cooked down to a velvety sauce with lots of small pieces of lamb in it (it tasted much better than it looked!). It was somewhat akin to the Indian saag gosht. I don't know the name of the dish, and have never seen anything like it in cookbooks. I also don't know if the restaurant survives. I'm living in the SF area, so I can't just bop around looking for it. Any info? |
