Three places you should consider adding to your list are:
 
Yakitori-ya: chicken skewers, chicken sashimi, and ground chicken bowl with rice and quail egg. :) I haven't tried the sashimi yet, but everything else there is really tasty.
 
Nanbankan (wilshire just west fo Sawtelle): similar to Yakitori-ya in that you order lots of grilled skewered things, but not limited to chicken. Lots of great veggies and pork too.
 
Mizu 212: Really nice Shabu Shabu place. I like the seafood platter.
