Message: | Japanese curry tastes like meat gravy, more bland than Indian curries which have more spices, or Thai ones which may have coconut milk. Most people I know who don't normally like curry, enjoy Japanese curry. I went to Hurry Curry a few weeks ago and was unimpressed by the curry, but really liked my potato balls. I forget what they're called, but it's a ball of mashed potatoes with peas and beef, fried to a crisp (not as light as tempura though). Very savory, and went very well with a plate of rice. Overall, I agree totally with Sandra W.--the food is cheap ($7-$8 for curry, rice and salad) and filling, so it's hard to complain about it. |
