Korean markets sell ox tail. Try the big one on the south west corner of vermont and olympic in Koreatown (Han Nam is it?) or the big grocery store in the Plaza Market Mall on San Marino and Western - that's always fun since you can grab a big bowl of noodles/dumplings/hot pot bi bim bap in the food court while you're at it.
 
I just boil trimmed ox tails for 2 hours or so to make a broth, add guk gan jang (soup soy sauce), some salt, diced green onions for garnish for a traditional Korean soup. I also add pre-soaked seaweed to make a variation on traditional Korean seaweed soup too.
