Message: | wow, it was tough to put this list together. had to revise it several times after some heavy thinking, but here's the final cut (in no particular order): - Mandarin Deli (Chinatown): for a very satisfying meal of beef stew noodle, green onion pancake and steamed fish dumplings - Pho 999 (Van Nuys): big bowls of steaming pho, perfect for a rainy day - Zankou Chicken: no one will be around to smell my breath, right? - In N Out: sometimes, you just need a really good burger, animal style - Empress Pavilion (Chinatown): for their dim sum and dinner menu - OutTake Cafe (Studio City): because I can't get enough of their Chicken Ravioli in a Mushroom/Soy Broth - Lotus of Siam (Las Vegas): I've only been once, but can't stop salivating whenever I think of that Sour Sausage appetizer. So good!! - Lawry's Prime Rib (BH): If it were on my own island, I wouldn't have the ridiculous wait for a tender med-rare hunk of meat when the urge strikes! - Grand Central Market (Downtown): Can I take this entire place for all kinds of Mexican food? - Phillipe's (Downtown): double-dipped sandwiches that I can have for breakfast, lunch AND dinner anyday of the week.
