Did you go to the original Rutt's Hut in that little triangle of land across where Chicago Pizza Works used to be, just East of Barrington on Pico? We used to go there 2 or 3 times a week for breakfast. The guy who opened the Washington Rutt's is the son, (Kenny?), of the original Rutt's owners. There was another one opened by one of the original location's longtime waitresses, Pat who opened Rutt's Cafe or somesuch, on Venice Blvd. about 4 blocks East of Sepulveda on the North side of the street. Pat sold out to, I think it was her Chef? Up to that point we ate there just about every Sunday morning like clockwork.
