Bitsy,
I went to a very good BBQ place in downtown Riverside some time ago. Sorry, but I can't remember the name of the place (Chowhounds - HELP!). It was a small joint, right across from a renovated (and beautiful) Spanish style hotel. The restaurant was written up in the paper and was very good. I got the brisket and really enjoyed it. If you can find the name of this place, it is well worth checking out.
