Message: | The restaurant was remodeled about five years ago, in a sort of a early 60's retro style. It used to look like a match for the restaurant from "Good Fellas". The restaurant was named after a quarter-horse. Though, the restaurant was updated, the menu remains unchanged, with items you don't see much anymore - lobster thermador?, for one. And they didn't change their waitresses who look like they may go back to the 50's. As for the food, its not recommended if you're watching calories or expecting light cooking. They make their steak dianne with huge gobs of butter, which I also think they may still flame for you tableside. The pepper steak is also very good. Yes, Pico Rivera is a trek, but if you're a hound, sometimes you gotta travel. Just remember to drive the Caddy. |
