Lucent Sees Sales Off, More Job Cuts

Lucent Technologies Inc. , the
poster child for the cratering telecommunications equipment
sector, said on Friday its business was much worse than
analysts had feared and more job cuts were likely as spending
by telephone companies continues to deteriorate.
