This heart-warming comedy/melodrama introduces us to three original and appealing characters, reinventing love and friendship
as if from scratch. Attractive, young Naoya has a well-ordered life-if perhaps dominated by his mother, and regimented by his workaday
pet store job. Meeting closed gay scientist Katsuhiro is an improvement,
especially when the two begin a tentative relationship. Things become complicated when Katsuhiro is approached, and
intrigued by quirky, sullen Asako (just out of a relationship with a misfit skate punk), who thinks she's found
the perfect sperm donor for the baby she'd like to conceive. Battle lines are drawn among the new lovers, their new "friend",
and, family members-lines that become the traces of a new family structure. Breezy and upbeat, and featuring an
unlikely music score by Yo-Yo Ma and Bobby McFerrin, Hush! is an unique look at the permutations of modern love.
