Christine Bacareza Balance
is currently a PhD candidate in NYU’s performance studies department, her research focusing on Pilipino American performance. She has performed with Tongue in a Mood, Teatro ng Tanan, and other Bindlestiff Studio groups. She has organized various events with Ultradown Productions, Arkipelago-NY, FilCRA-NY, and maganda magazine in the past. She would like to dedicate this piece to all those who inspire and challenge her, most especially Mom and Dad.
