Footing the bill
Eddie Jones isn't self-conscious about his feet. So he says. ''I just don't let anybody see them,'' Jones said. They're certainly not a pleasant sight. A hammer toe condition has some of the tips of his toes turned at awkward angles. Underneath a few of his toenails, his toes are black or a dark shade of purple. There are a couple corns. And his big toenails have not completely grown back after a May surgery to remove them.

Hornets have no answer for Iverson
Allen Iverson has many a nickname. Bubba Chuck, AI, the Answer - but Paul Silas bestowed another on the 76ers guard Monday night. Hornet-killer. "You can write 30-plus (points) in every time we play him," Silas, the New Orleans Hornets' coach, said before his team faced the Sixers. "And I don't know what to do to stop him."

Young Bulls take their lumps
The split lip took two stitches to close. Symbolically, the injury left a greater impression. As Eddy Curry lay on a trainer's table last Saturday night in Utah, his bloody lip served as a reminder that he and fellow 2001 first-round draft pick Tyson Chandler continue to take their lumps.
