Description Topics
Overview The Instrument Control Toolbox provides features for communicating with instruments, such as oscilloscopes and function generators,
directly from MATLAB. Support is provided for GPIB, VISA, TCP/IP, and UDP communication protocols. You can generate data in
MATLAB to send out to an instrument, or read data into MATLAB for analysis and visualization.
Key Features
- Support for controlling and communicating with GPIB and VXI instruments
- Support for networked instruments using the TCP/IP and UDP protocols
- Functions for reading and writing binary and text (ASCII) data
- Graphical user interfaces (GUIs) for instrument communication and setup
- Synchronous and asynchronous (blocking and non-blocking) read and write operations
- Event handling for timeout, bytes read, data written, and others
- Recording of data transferred to and from instruments
- Utility functions to determine hardware availability
