What are all of the Pokémon (Game Boy®/Game Boy® Color and Game Boy® Advance) games produced in the United States? I think there is a Yellow, Red, Blue, Crystal, Gold, Silver, and Green version. Did I miss any?

Actually, the list includes

Pokémon Red
Pokémon Blue
Pokémon Yellow Pikachu Edition
Pokémon Gold
Pokémon Silver
Pokémon Crystal
Pokémon Pinball
Pokémon Trading Card Game
Pokémon Puzzle Challenge

In a letter posted on Pokémon.com's website, there was a question about the Pokémon® characters’ gender. You said that [most] Pokémon have no particular gender, but how can Brock want to be a breeder? And it takes a male and a female to breed, obviously. Could you please explain this to me further?

Most Pokémon, out of 251, are without gender, but in the Gold and Silver games, there are definite breeding opportunities. Before Gold and Silver, most Pokémon were referred to as “it” instead of “he” or “she”.

Pokémon that are always female include Nidoran (female), Nidorina, Nidoqueen, Jynx, Smoochum, Kangaskhan, Miltank, Chansey, and Blissey.

Pokémon that are always male are Tauros, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Hitmontop, Tyrogue, Nidoran (male), Nidorino, and Nidoking.

Since the breeding involves caring for eggs in the game, the following Pokémon will never produce eggs (some are genderless, some are pre-evolutions, and some are one-of-a-kind) -- Unown, Igglybuff, Togepi, Cleffa, Tyrogue, Smoochum, Elekid, Magby, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo, Mew, Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Nidorina, Nidoqueen, Pichu, Lugia, and Ho-Oh.

I've been looking all over the Internet for download-able Pokémon music to listen to, but I could never find a full list of the music and songs. I was hoping that maybe you can put up a music section on the site for everybody to enjoy!

Funny that you should ask – the new community site at My.Pokémon.Com has a streaming radio station that plays your Pokémon favorites. This month, we’re streaming Totally Pokémon, the karaoke CD that was such a huge seller two years ago.

I am trying to locate 3 books for my child's Pokémon series. Most are written by West. The books that he needs are #15 Psyduck Ducks Out, #21 The Chikorita Challenge and #28 Winner Takes All. Can you help? The local bookstore cannot order them.

You can try Scholastic Books at http://www.scholastic.ca/titles/Pokémon/series.htm. They had a listing fo #15, Psyduck Ducks Out, and also #21 The Chikorita Challenge. We also had luck with finding the books on www.Amazon.com.

This has been bothering me for a long time. In Pokémon Gold, what is a mystery gift?

When you get to the Goldenrod City Department Store, talk to everyone – one of the girls there will tell you about the Mystery Gift function. After that, you can select Mystery Gift from the start menu and beam random items to your friends via the infrared port on your Game Boy® Color. Things like posters, carpets, Pokémon dolls and more can be found through Mystery Gifts, but you can also get really useful items like X Defends and Evolution Stones!

Pokémon 4Ever never made it to my town, and I know a lot of my friends have been waiting in their home towns and have not seen it either. Is it coming out on video or DVD?

We’ve just learned that the video/DVD of Pokémon 4Ever is scheduled to hit the streets on March 18th, the same time as Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire for the Game Boy® Advance game system. That’s good news for fans that missed the theatrical release! Check out our feature on the movie page!
