President Bush traveled to the Port of Philadelphia to meet with front-line Coast Guard personnel and discussed the vital role that they are playing in Operation Liberty Shield, Operation Iraqi Freedom and the War on Terrorism.
President Bush welcomed veterans to the White House stating, "The men and women who have worn the nation's uniform set an example of service and an example of sacrifice for future generations. And the current generation of our military is not letting us down."
In a joint press availability President Bush said, "The United States and United Kingdom are acting together in a noble purpose. We're working together to make the world more peaceful...And we're working to free the Iraqi people."
President Bush said, "Every nation represented here refuses to live in a future of fear, at the mercy of terrorists and tyrants. And every nation here today shares the same resolve: We will be relentless in our pursuit of victory."
