| | 'Frustrating,' for openers
Sloppy Marlins can't recover from 8-0 deficit
On their coldest opening day on record, the Marlins were appropriately abominable. It had all the makings of the Heat's second straight feel-good home victory, this one of the short-handed variety. Monday, the Heat was missing rookie Caron Butler, who sat out with a swollen left knee, which left the burden of carrying the team to anyone willing to take it.

| | Free hot dogs the only bright spot
Well, that will bring them flooding back for Marlins baseball. ''I've never seen us play that bad,'' Marlins first baseman Derrek Lee said after his team opened the season by soiling itself. ``And you'll never see us play that bad again.''
