Statement by the Press Secretary

On Wednesday, November 27, 2002, the President signed into law:

H.R. 1070, the "Great Lakes and Lake Champlain Act of 2002", which authorizes appropriations to mitigate pollution in the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain;

H.R. 3340, which allows certain Federal employees to make increased annual contributions to the Thrift Savings Fund; reauthorizes the Merit System Protection Board and the Office of Special Counsel; and permits certain employees of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation to enroll in the Federal Employee Health Benefits Program; and

H.R. 3394, the "Cyber Security Research and Development Act", which establishes a number of computer and network security research and development and research fellowship programs.
