Trinity Church of North Miami has received a $50,000 federal grant to help expand its at-risk youth programs. The money will help Rev. Linda P. Freeman, the pastor, buy computers and help find volunteer tutors for Wednesday evening classes and the church's after-school program.

Buddhist master visiting Miami-Dade
Dzogchen Master Chgyal Namkhai Norbu will speak at the University of Miami and lead a weekend retreat during a visit to Miami-Dade County Thursday through Oct. 13.
