Warranty?

The warranty works like this. We manufacture the mainboards and we sell them only directly to dealers, resellers and systemhouses and we give those direct customers 3-year warranty. HOWEVER it is up to them whether they want to extend the full 3-year warranty to their customer too or whether they only give a year, 6 months or even shorter. It is up to their own policy and we cannot interfere with that because we cannot force them to change that since that would not be ethical. We would of course have no problem if they made an exception on their own and send a mainboard back to us if it still falls within the 3-year warranty. All the endusers or resellers who do not purchase directly from QDI must contact their own dealer or vendor for warranty issues according to the vendors or dealers policy.

Mainboard and BIOS version?

If you do not exactly know what model or type mainboard and BIOS version you have you have several ways for identification. The easiest way is to power up the system from the "Off"-state with the power button (no reset) and then you can see exactly which mainboard and current BIOS version you have at the boot of the system just above where the amount of RAM is counted. (see picture)
Boot screen
Otherwise you can see the modelname and PCB-version printed on the mainboard in white letters, usually at one of the edges in the corner where the ISA and/or PCI-slots are. You can find the corresponding modelnames on our products mainboards page. You will need the mainboard and BIOS information for BIOS updates

PS/2 header for older mainboards?

With our mainboards that have a PS/2 header in the form of connector pins on the mainboard you can use almost any PS/2 connector to connect from the mainboard to the back of the casing by using the following schematic to help you find a compatible connector or to make the connector compatible.
