The Tigers have not been used with their advantage of more powerful equipment. So they have been destroyed by soviet manoeuvrable and fast medium tanks T34. Large quantity of soviet tanks astonished the enemy. |

| Prokhorovka battle |

The tank battle at Prokhorovka was won by the Soviets. This battle caused heavy tolls for the Wehrmacht: a great number of soldiers and almost 400 tanks. |

According to the decision of the Commander of West Front, 11th Army was put into operations in the sector of 50th and 11th Guard Armies battled, just after the marsh. 11th Army had the task to be on the offensive in Khvastovichi direction.
By the end of the day tank corps have bared Mtsensk-Orel road near Kamenev, reached the rail road and occupied the passage on the Oka.
