The Tigers have not been used with their advantage of more powerful equipment. So they have been destroyed by soviet manoeuvrable and fast medium tanks T34. Large quantity of soviet tanks astonished the enemy. |

According to direction of Stavka, at night of July, 21, the Commander of Bryansk Front ordered to turn 3rd Guard Tank division to the south, into the section of 63rd Army, and forward to Stanovoy Kladez. The task was to gain the rear of the enemy in the east and southeast of Orel.
Troops of 3rd Army reached the Oka River, changed tank units and gave the battle for enlargement of the bridgehead.
