4 August 2003
I spent today driving through western Victoria. Down the Geelong Freeway, onto the Princes Highway, then through Colac and Camperdown, both towns I have worked in before. Near Terang I turned north, heading to Mortlake. There the road joins the Hamilton Highway. It was along this stretch that I stopped for the first time when I saw an abandoned homestead and got the [Travel Journal]

Wodonga 2003

Australasia : Australia : Victoria
20 July 2003
It was eleven-thirty in the morning and time to leave for my trip to Wodonga. I have been to this town, which lies just south of the border between New South Wales and Victoria. I usually stay at a Best Western motel. This time the company had booked accommodation in a Budget motel. I have stayed in many establishments since I started with [Travel Journal]

Camperdown 2003

Australasia : Australia : Victoria
15 July 2003
After my morning session in Melbourne I started my drive to the Victorian country town of Camperdown. Joined the freeway at Blackburn Road and followed it all the way into the city, through the Balmain Tunnel and over the West Gate Bridge. I was still on the Princess Highway when Geelong came into sight. About an hour later I arrived at the pre-booked [Travel Journal]

Newstead

7-8 August 2002
Last week I was working on the south coast of NSW, this week I’m back in Melbourne. Staying in my hometown allows me the opportunity to spend time with my girlfriend. I find myself thinking how my life has changed for the better since meeting her. There are not a lot of partners who accept being apart from their loved ones, because they [Travel Journal]

11 September 2002
For most of August I didn’t take any photographs in Kindergartens or Daycare Centres, instead I was working for another photographer. He had commissioned me to get group photos of school bands, after they played on stage at Monash University. It was a welcome break from the stress of getting the required number of photos of children in a limited time span. Instead [Travel Journal]

Lakes Entrance

Australasia : Australia : Victoria
21-22 July 2002
I'm sitting in a motel in the coastal town of Lakes Entrance. The journey here was through mixed weather. I spent the afternoon visiting the Ninty-Mile Beach. Then decided to film the fishing fleet that is tied up in the harbour. Got some good video and a few still shots. Went to a Bistro for tea and ordered Fish of the Day, which [Travel Journal]

Kyabram 2003

Australasia : Australia : Victoria
16 June 2003
From time to time I find myself in a town that I have not visited before and that’s good. On the other hand because I have been with this company so many years its inevitable, return trips to areas are becoming more normal. The first year is great because I can explore places of interest. Some are worth a return visit but most [Travel Journal]

Wednesday I was working in Stratford. It only took fifteen minutes to arrive at the outskirts of town and had plenty of time to take a short drive along the River Avon. The mist was rising from the river and I took the last couple of shots left on the roll of film. It was only last year I worked in the Stratford [Travel Journal]

Rosedale 2003

Australasia : Australia : Victoria
27 May 2003
After driving four hours yesterday I arrived in Sale, which is in Southeast Victoria. The trip down was done in fine weather and the motel I'll be staying in, until Friday is good.
My first day's job was thirty kilometres to the west; a small town called Rosedale. It was a foggy morning trip but I still managed to arrive in plenty of [Travel Journal]

Tangambaganga 2003

Australasia : Australia : Victoria
21 May 2003
I knew from a previous trip that Tangambaganga has no accommodation so I stopped overnight in Wodonga, which was thirty-five kilometres to the north. The next morning I left the motel and followed the road that skirts Lake Hume. I appreciate driving to work through picturesque scenery, life is much more relaxing and I tend to forget about the fact that I'm not [Travel Journal]
